Setting up IPTV on a Smart TV is easier than you might think. This guide covers all three major Smart TV platforms: Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS) and Android TV — step by step.
Method 1: Android TV (Easiest)
Android TV is the most IPTV-friendly platform. You can install apps directly from the Google Play Store.
On your Android TV home screen, navigate to the Play Store.
Search for IPTV Smarters Pro and install it (free).
Open the app → Add User → choose Xtream Codes API → enter your GIGA IPTV server, username and password → Save.
Browse Live TV, Movies or Series from the main menu.
Alternatively, install TiviMate from the Play Store for a better TV interface.
Method 2: Samsung Smart TV (Tizen)
Samsung TVs run Tizen OS and don't support the Google Play Store. You have two options:
Option A — Use a Fire Stick (Recommended)
Plug an Amazon Fire Stick into your Samsung TV's HDMI port. Then follow our Fire Stick guide to install TiviMate. This gives you the best IPTV experience on a Samsung TV.
Option B — Samsung Smart IPTV App
On your Samsung TV, go to Smart Hub → Apps → search for Smart IPTV.
Install the app (it may cost a one-time fee of ~€5.49).
Go to siptv.eu, enter your TV's MAC address, and upload your M3U URL. The playlist will load on your TV automatically.
Method 3: LG Smart TV (webOS)
LG TVs with webOS 5.0+ support app sideloading. The easiest method:
Option A — Use a Fire Stick (Recommended)
Same as Samsung — plug a Fire Stick into the HDMI port and follow the Fire Stick setup guide.
Option B — LG Content Store App
On your LG TV, press the Home button and open the LG Content Store.
Search for SS IPTV or IPTV Smarters — install it.
Enter your M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials from your GIGA IPTV welcome email.
Quick Comparison by TV Brand
| TV Brand | OS | Best Method | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Any Smart TV | Any | Fire Stick via HDMI | Easy ⭐ |
| Android TV / Google TV | Android | TiviMate from Play Store | Very Easy ⭐ |
| Samsung (Tizen) | Tizen | Smart IPTV app | Medium ⭐⭐ |
| LG (webOS) | webOS | SS IPTV or Fire Stick | Medium ⭐⭐ |
| Philips (Android) | Android | TiviMate from Play Store | Very Easy ⭐ |
💡 Our recommendation: If your Smart TV doesn't run Android natively, buy a Fire Stick 4K Max (~€60). It gives you a far better IPTV experience than any built-in Smart TV app, and works on any TV with an HDMI port.
